H for Humpty Dumpty.  Vintage original page from the circa 1926 book Tony Sarg's Alphabet. Verses by Anne Stoddard.  Published by Greenberg Inc. of New York.

Page measures 6 7/8 inches wide x 9 inches tall.

Shows Humpty Dumpty, along with a small verse below.  All the king's men are depicted in the border along the bottom and sides.

Verse reads:

H is for Humpty, who sat on a wall
And when he fell off--oh, my!
what a fall.
I hate to inform you what really befell,
For of poor Humpty Dumpty was left but a shell.

This is an original page from the book, not a reproduction.  Gleaned from a book that was beyond repair.

Good condition with some soiling along the edges, small crease upper left corner, age toning, and 1 1/2 inch tear along the edge near the lower left corner.  Also has the original holes along the left edge from the string binding.

Back is blank.

Fantastic colorful illustration that would look amazing framed, or could be used in an art project.

Shipped flat with cardboard backing in clear protective sleeve.
