Page measures 6 7/8 inches wide x 9 inches tall.
Shows King Cole, along with a small verse below. Some of the other characters from the book are depicted in the border along the bottom and sides.
Verse reads:
K is King Cole, the Hale and the hearty,
With his pipe and his bowl, a jolly old party.
"Oh, I may be a king, with my fine fiddlers three,
"But I mean to have comfort," he said, said he.
This is an original page from the book, not a reproduction. Gleaned from a book that was beyond repair.
Good condition with some small soiled spots and edge and corner wear. Also has the original holes along the left edge from the string binding.
Back is blank.

Lid shows an adorable nursery scene. Sides each have a different baby scene with one end having a J.C. Penney label.
Marked copyright 1931 B. & B. - Chicago, Ill. inside the lid.
Box measures about 6 x 3 1/2 inches and is about 21/4 inches high.
Old cardboard box that does show wear. Lid is split at one corner and there is pencil scribbles inside the lid.
Fantastic decor piece for a nursery.
