The Big Bark by Christine Woyke. Illustrated by Stina Nagel. Book number 2408-2.
Cute story about a little girl name Ann. On the way to school Ann had to walk past a house with a sign on the gate that read, "Beware of Dog". The dog inside the gated area had a very big bark, although she was unable to see the dog. All during the school year she drew pictures of what she thought was a very big dog. One day the gate is open on her way by and out comes a little dog. She pets it as it wags its tail. The dog's owner comes out and explains to Ann that the "Beware of Dog" sign was there when they moved in, not because of their dog named Wags. After drawing the pictures of the big dog all year, Ann then proceeds to draw a little dog.
