Shows the Queen of Hearts, along with a small verse below.  Some of the other characters from the book are depicted in the border along the bottom and sides.

Verse reads:

Q's Queen of Hearts and the tarts that she made

(She will ruin her beautiful frock, I'm afraid !)

The Jack of Hearts took them against the Queen's wishes,

But you really can't blame him, they smelled so delicious.

 This is an original page from the book, not a reproduction. Gleaned from a book that was beyond repair.

Good condition with some small soiled spots and edge and corner wear. Also has the original holes along the left edge from the string binding.

Back is blank.

Fantastic colorful illustration that would look amazing framed, or could be used in an art project.

Shipped flat with cardboard backing in clear protective sleeve.
