I for Indian.  Vintage original page from the circa 1926 book Tony Sarg's Alphabet. Verse by Anne Stoddard.  Published by Greenberg Inc. of New York.

Page measures 6 7/8 inches wide x 9 inches tall.

Shows an Indian, along with a small verse below.  Some of the other characters from the book are depicted in the border along the bottom and sides.

Verse reads:

I stands for Indian with his blanket and feathers,

He stays out-of-doors in all kinds of weathers,

He has never a bed, nor a table, nor chair,

But a curious way of wearing his hair.

This is an original page from the book, not a reproduction. Gleaned from a book that was beyond repair.

Good condition with some small soiled spots along the edges and edge and corner wear. Also has the original holes along the left edge from the string binding.

Back is blank.

Fantastic colorful illustration that would look amazing framed, or could be used in an art project.

Shipped flat with cardboard backing in clear protective sleeve.
