Rawlins is a prosperous city on the Lincoln Highway in the heart of the vast prairie stretches of Southern Wyoming. Its pleasant tree lined streets and green lawns are a striking change from the wide and rolling plains, with scarcely a tree traversed for miles along the highways leading to town.
